HR SPECIALIST (MILITARY) (TITLE 32)

As a HR Specialist (Military), GS-0201-09, you will serve as advisor to commanders on assigned unit human resources (HR) programs. Analyze data and subsequent determinations regarding any number of human resources matters that may involve or affect AGRs, drill status guardsmen, and/or family members. Advise supervisors or managers within unit when actions may affect productivity or mission. Plan, direct, control and provide advisory services on all aspects of the Career Enhancement program for both Active Guard Reserve (AGR), unit drill status guardsmen, full time technicians and potential members. Plan, direct, and control all aspects of the Customer Service Program. Manage the Air Force Personnel Records System. Plan, direct, and control all aspects of the human resources employment program. Manage the Unit Manpower Document (UMD) as directed by Headquarters, National Guard Bureau (HQ NGB) for all serviced units. Plan, direct, and control all aspects of the Relocation program for all members. Ensure accuracy of human resources data system and performs functional review of data reliability relative to the relocations program. Develop wing readiness plans for the administration of contingencies and mobilizations. Manage contingency and exercise deployments. Serve as advisor to wing/unit commanders on deployment programs. Interpret policy and provides procedural guidance to wing/unit commanders, supervisors, staff members, and unit deployment managers (UDM) concerning deployment process. Manage Deployment Systems. Responsible to the Military Support Flight Commander for the Personnel Support for Contingency Operations (PERSCO) portion of the Status of Resources and Training System (SORTS) Report. Serve as Classified Control Officer responsible for safeguarding and proper destruction of classified material IAW AF instructions, higher headquarters and local guidance. Perform other duties as assigned. Military Grades:

Experience:
Experiences gained through military or civilian technical training schools, within the human resources business programs, are included as general experience qualifications. An applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provided a basic working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and personnel programs. Must have a basic knowledge and experiences of personnel programs gained in a classroom or as an on-the-job trainee. Have knowledge-based competency of human resources business elements and can discuss terminology, concepts, principles, and issues related to this competency. Experienced in using references and resource materials and experienced in program functions such as, maintaining personnel records, counseling, or classification and assignments. Experiences may include performing personnel functions associated with preparing and maintaining position descriptions and manual records, personnel classification or usage, quality force management, managing personnel records and researching record data. Experienced in operating a computer and using varied computer programs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
