Administrative Support Assistant (OA)

Incumbent has overall responsibility for assisting with report preparation, tracking suspense status of all reports and data for Quality Management (QM) and systems redesign efforts, coordinates the timely completion of Ongoing Professional Provider Evaluation (OPPE's) and Focused Professional Provider Evaluations (FPPPE's) and provides data aggregation & Analysis in the support of improvement objectives also ensuring that deadlines are met. In this capacity, the skills of a qualified typist are required as well as proficiency in the use of a personal computer software programs. Duties required include assisting with preparing correspondence (i.e., reports, letters, memos, etc.), answering/returning telephone calls and receiving visitors. Incumbent will be expected to serve as the primary timekeeper for the Knoxville Mental Health Service. Incumbent must assist with all aspects of keeping all action item suspense logs/files/folders up to date. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS 06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Working in a hospital or medical setting assisting staff and visitors; Utilizing office automation software to prepare, edit reports, letters, graphics, spreadsheets, etc.; Managing medical, training, and budget files; office supplies and equipment; Analyzing and entering statistical information into electronic databases; Managing calendars and training requirements for medical staff; Preparing travel requests; Managing fund control points in a hospital or medical center, and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties as described in this announcement. Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary in an office setting where only light physical exertion is required. Physical dexterity is required in the operation of the personal computer, calculator and copy machines. Must be able to concentrate during frequent interruptions. May be required to walk to other offices or other parts of the Medical Center or occasionally attend meetings outside the Medical Center. Some walking and bending is also required in the delivery of reports and o other materials, filing, etc. Work Environment:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
