The RN is the Team Leader with LPN, CNAs, and HUCs as team members. Duties include completing nursing assessment, admission database and initiates patient education. Assess learning needs of patient and family. Initiates, implements, and recommends interventions for plan of care, involving patient and family and evaluates care outcomes. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members. Resolves problems regarding moderately complex issues without oversight or supervision. Demonstrates active participation in unit based or facility activities. Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the needs of the population served. Demonstrates willingness to precept employees/students as directed. Reviews clinical performance of preceptee with unit leader or clinical instructor. Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters.
