com Gastrointestinal Associates is a gastroenterology practice which specializes in the diagnosis and care of disease and conditions affecting the digestive system.
We are currently searching for a full-time (Monday-Friday) check-in / out clerk who can work cooperatively with team members and physicians while performing a variety of task.
Preoperative and/or postoperative experience is not required but valued.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for checking patients into and out of the practice at each visit.
Collect co-payments, deductibles, other amounts due, and prepares the related deposit.
Enters and Updates patient demographics information, insurance information.
Verifies insurance eligibility.
Displays appropriate, professional, and cordial relationships with the physicians and other staff.
Neat / professional appearance with pleasant personality and speaking voice with ability to relate well to patients.
Basic computer knowledge and math skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
