We are looking for a Logistics Analyst I to join Kaiser Aluminum team in the Knoxville, TN area! What you will work on:
Gather data from multiple sources for analysis Utilize analytical methods and tools to understand, predict and control logistics operations and processes.
Analyze supply chain processes, recommending cost and efficiency improvements Update freight rates and make comparisons to determine most cost-effective means/mode of shipping Maintain agreements/contracts for transportation and warehousing Ensure certificates of insurance are valid and current Review payment logistics/transportation payment process Update stakeholders on key performance indicators and improvement targets Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures Understand the functionality of transportation management systems to the level of being able to train new users What you will bring to the position:
Requires an undergraduate degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to work in teams.
High attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong PC skills, especially Excel.
