Assist all customers at the retail post office with mailing domestic and international letters and packages.
Sell stamps and postage.
Operate postage meters and apply correct postage to outgoing mail and packages.
Sell money orders and special USPS services such as certified and registered mail.
Must be trained to perform all functions at the Contract Post Office to include handling cash and cash register, maintaining stamp inventory, selling USPS services and supplies, processing money orders and completing daily deposits and USPS Form 1412.
Open and operate the Campus Shipping Store as needed.
This position will also require Passport Acceptance Agent training to assist in processing passport applications for faculty, staff, students and the general public as needed.
Operate postage meters and process special mailings to ensure the correct postage for each class of mail has been applied.
Receive and sort all classes of mail and packages.
Assist with mail finishing projects as needed.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent - Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
One year in a retail postal environment assisting customers with the purchase of postage, money orders and other postal products.
Experience with various postage rates and classes of mail.
Experience operating a postage meter.
Experience completing daily financial documents (Form 1412), creating daily deposits and cash handling.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with passport acceptance and retail postal operations preferred.
Experience with outbound multi-line shipping systems preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
