Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Transportation Jr. Underwriter, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Evaluating and analyzing risk exposures for commercial transportation accounts.
2. Developing, maintaining, and cultivating strong relationships with brokers and clients.
3. Reviewing, rating, and underwriting new business submissions and renewals.
4. Negotiating policy terms and conditions with brokers and clients.
5. Assisting in the development and implementation of underwriting guidelines and procedures.
6. Collaborating with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
7. Participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
8. Staying up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Transportation Jr. Underwriter position should possess the following
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of retail experience in underwriting, preferably in the transportation industry.
3. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Solid understanding of underwriting principles and risk management practices.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
