Position:
EPRI is looking for a talented and motivated intern seeking to gain training and expand their valuable work experience to work in our Human Resources department! This is a paid on-going part time student position that will work directly with our Human Resources Manager and Human Resources team. The intern will assist in a variety of administrative and technical HR activities for a 200
person professional office environment in Palo Alto, CA.
Job Functions:
Assisting with posting job requisitions, screen resumes/candidates, arranging interviews and assisting with job offers
Assist with special projects, research, and analysis
Copy, file, fax, distribute mail, and perform other administrative functions
Ensure filing is up to date and accurate in employee files
Assemble and maintain stock of employment folders and forms
Prepare and set up for internal training courses
Assist with special projects, research, and analysis as necessary
Assist with other Human Resources department priorities as needed
The Ideal Candidate:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Extremely Proficient in Paying Attention to Detail
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Self reliant, resourceful and can think ahead to the next logical step in a project
Previous experience in an office environment preferred
Education:
Current student pursuing a degree and taking at least 6 units; Human Resources Management major preferred
EPRI participates in E-Verify, an online system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration (SSA). EPRI uses the system to check the work status of new hires by comparing information from the employee's I-9 form against SSA and Department of Homeland Security databases.
